There are plenty of lawyers in Daytona Beach, so why choose to work with us? That's easy—we represent several condominium and homeowners’ associations. We have created a number of condominium and homeowners’ association documents for new developments. Thus, we are familiar with Florida statutes and rules governing associations.
In our representation of associations, we handle general matters, as opposed to significantly disputed matters. Thus, we will typically review notices of meetings and agendas, when requested, and answer questions about procedure and legal rights of associations as they pertain to their documents, statutes, and rules. We research questions, provide opinions, and perform other requested tasks. If a unit owner violates the rules or fails to pay an assessment, we will advise the association and write letters, and file liens as appropriate. If a dispute appears to require litigation, interrogation of witnesses, mediation, arbitration, or other serious factual proof determination, we will likely refer it to a litigation attorney. When and whether we refer it out depends on the issue, and we consult with the client before doing so.
